Approximate figures, as described by Craig on the strategy call. Bars drawn to scale: ~100 vs. ~27.

Craig has already built the foundation. The ideas, the arguments, the research and the economic thinking exist, along with a much larger media vision beyond Cuba.

Craig described the problem clearly: people can't envision what Cuba could become until they can see it. Video and visualization can help put that picture in front of an audience, with YouTube as the home for the growing body of work.

The challenge isn't deciding what to say.

It's building the system that consistently gets those ideas into market.

02  /  What success means

Help people see what's possible.

The central challenge Craig described  ·  Strategy Call

  1. 01Compelling idea
  2. 02Native creative
  3. 03Attention
  4. 04Conversation
  5. 05Audience

The outcome is to build and retain an audience around The World According to Craig's ideas and message, and to create awareness and conversation around a compelling alternative vision for Cuba's future.

The purpose is not publishing volume for its own sake. Every piece, long-form or short-form, is planned around the job it needs to do, and the numbers VID reviews are the ones that show what the audience is responding to.

  • 01Views / reach
  • 02Retention and watch time
  • 03Comments / conversation
  • 04Shares
  • 05Subscriber / audience growth
  • 06Click-through behavior, where available
  • 07Short-form-to-long-form audience movement
  • 08Topic performance
  • 09Creative treatment performance

These are signals the system is designed to learn from and optimize toward. VID does not guarantee views, followers, subscribers, engagement, virality, revenue, political outcomes or algorithmic distribution.

03  /  The real bottleneck

You don't have a talent-sourcing problem. You have an operating-system problem.

Craig already has the ideas, scripts, research and perspective. What's missing is the repeatable system connecting idea, message, creative, production, publishing, measurement and the next idea.

05  /  The YouTube Growth System

One body of ideas.
One connected content system.

Long-form gives the ideas depth. Short-form creates discovery. Together, they build the audience around The World According to Craig.

A curated library of source material, from Craig, his team and his network.

Craig, his team and his network surface the best raw material: scripts, research, economic models, stories, development concepts, current events, perspective and interviews with experts. VID helps curate that list, then develops the ideas, scripts and creative direction most likely to create the biggest impact and the most conversations, in the format that fits each idea.

Long-form

Go deeper.

  • Documentary-style explanations
  • Economic arguments and infrastructure visions
  • Interviews and deeper policy or historical context
  • Narrative storytelling and visual essays

Build depth, authority and a library people can explore.

Short-form

Create discovery.

  • Strong hooks and provocative questions
  • Visual explanations, short arguments and data points
  • Direct-to-camera ideas
  • Excerpts designed intentionally for social

Earn attention and introduce new audiences to the larger body of work.

Short-form is not only clips chopped from long-form. Some short-form may relate to a long-form idea, but it is developed natively for short-form consumption when appropriate.

Audience→Performance data→Next creative decision
Primary channel

YouTube is the anchor channel. Supporting short-form distribution can extend the content into agreed secondary environments, which may include YouTube Shorts, Instagram, TikTok, X and Facebook. VID does not manage each platform as a separate full system.

Virtual production, by default

The base VID Operate engagement is built around virtual production. VID can make relatively simple capture look significantly more polished through scripting, editing, design, graphics, audio treatment, motion and post-production.

  • Remote recording
  • Guided self-capture
  • Smartphone or camera capture by Craig
  • Remote interviews
  • Voiceover
  • Existing footage
  • Archival / source material
  • Licensed material, where approved
  • Graphics, charts and maps
  • Motion graphics
  • AI-assisted visualization
  • Remote creative direction
On-site productionOn-site filming is not included in the base VID Operate engagement. A local camera crew, studio production, multi-camera filming, travel, location production or specialized physical production requires an approved On-Site Production expansion or separate approved production capacity.

Creative treatment varies by idea and available production capacity. Advanced CGI or materially complex animation depends on capacity and is outside the base configuration unless separately approved.

06  /  Creative concepts

Ideas worth putting in front of people.

Illustrative starting points drawn from topics Craig discussed on the strategy call. Each could become a short-form piece, a long-form episode or a paired set. Concepts for discussion, not committed deliverables.

  1. 01

    What Cuba Could Become

Make future-state economic or development ideas visually understandable.

  2. 02

    The Spark

The concept of transforming a shallow bay into a major cruise / transportation hub.

  3. 03

    Cuba's First 100 Days

Explore the decisions Craig believes would matter immediately in a future scenario he has described.

  4. 04

    Build the Future

Take individual infrastructure or development concepts and make them tangible.

  5. 05

    The Argument

Short, focused responses to existing assumptions or narratives Craig wants to challenge.

  6. 06

    Data Behind the Vision

Statistics, charts and visual explanation that support individual arguments.

Review the VID Services Agreement

Operating capacityVID Operate is a managed Video Department, not a per-video or per-minute production package.

Production capacity is allocated across the mix of long-form and short-form content most likely to support the agreed audience-growth objective.

The system maintains a consistent publishing rhythm, but the exact number, duration and format of videos may change depending on strategy, audience response and production complexity.

A Craig-led video using remote capture, editing, graphics and existing source material requires materially different production capacity than a highly produced documentary involving extensive animation, CGI, maps, custom visualization or complex AI-generated environments.

When substantially greater capacity is required, VID will identify that before production and recommend the appropriate standardized expansion.

Standard expansions

  • Additional Production Capacity
  • On-Site Production
  • Additional Video System / Channel
  • Additional Executive / SME
  • Expanded Distribution
  • Studio Design + Build

13  /  Questions

What Craig will want to know.

How much content will VID produce?

VID Operate is not priced by video count or finished minutes.

The system operates against an agreed production capacity and publishing rhythm. VID allocates that capacity across the mix of long-form and short-form creative most likely to support the audience-growth objective. The exact mix can change as the system learns.

Does VID Operate include one 10-minute video every week?

Not as a guaranteed fixed deliverable.

A weekly long-form example was discussed as one possible way production capacity could be allocated. The actual mix depends on creative complexity. A relatively straightforward Craig-led or interview-based piece may allow for more output than a documentary-style production involving extensive graphics, maps, animation, AI visualization or CGI.

The goal is consistent, strategic output, not maximizing minutes.

What does the initial publishing rhythm look like?

The system is designed to publish consistently throughout the engagement. VID will determine the initial mix of long-form and short-form content during Install, based on the priority audience, YouTube strategy, source material, creative requirements and available production capacity. The mix will then be adjusted based on audience response.

Does VID Operate include filming in Ukraine or other locations?

The base VID Operate engagement is built around virtual production. On-site filming crews, studio shoots, location production, travel or other physical production requirements are not included in the base engagement.

When physical production is strategically appropriate, VID can coordinate it through an approved On-Site Production expansion.

Can VID use AI and CGI?

Yes, where appropriate. VID may use AI-assisted visualization, motion graphics, maps, charts and other visual storytelling tools within the available operating capacity.

Highly sophisticated CGI, 3D production or materially more complex animation may require Additional Production Capacity.

Who owns the content?

14  /  The decision

The ideas already exist. Now build the system behind them.

The World According to Craig does not need to solve the entire 100-episode vision today. The next step is to install one focused YouTube Growth System, begin putting ideas into market consistently, learn what earns attention and deeper engagement, and expand intelligently from there.

Craig brings the worldview, research and message. VID operates the Video Department that turns those ideas into consistent media and audience growth.
